I’m A Fan Of The Wide Leg

I am having a rather long love affair with a voluptuous trouser at the moment. Last year it was the plisse culottes (which I now own eight pairs of…), next up it was the wide leg cropped trouser and now it seems I’veΒ gone full out with the full length, extra volume, wide leg.

These trousers are actually so flattering for the shorter gals (like me, I’m only 5ft 3in) with their super high waist it creates the illusion of a much longer leg. Due to the amount of fabric that creates the wide leg, there is the fear that you could end up looking out of proportion but this pair feature a beautiful split up the front of the leg so when you walk, passers by get a sneak peak of your shin, cheeky.

I’ve paired these wide legs with Stan Smiths to keep them looking cool rather than smart, it’s the perfect example of high-low dressing. I’m also wearing a wrap body suit and a leather jacket, keeping the outfit really simple so that all the attention is on the trouser.

They would also be really easy to dress up for a night out or a dinner date – wearΒ a silky crop top to show off the nice waistline and add a thin stiletto heel. Done.
