A Gig Friendly Outfit

On Saturday night Andy and I went to see The 1975 at the O2 Academy (who were amazing I’d like to add). The one thing that bothers me about gigs like this though is that girls just don’t know what the dress code is. There were girls in front of us wearing 5 inch heels, dresses and massive fake eyelashes as if they were in a club on a girls night out. Needless to say, they didn’t last long on their feet.

I think the main dilemma is that there is technically no dress code for such an occasion so I try to stick to making an outfit out of a mish mosh of old and new pieces to create an unusual yet interesting outfit that’s not too hot or too tight; It’s a big ask really. In this case I have mixed a dressy navy blouse with ripped mom jeans, both comfortable pieces and when put together they don’t look too dressed up. I’ve added a vintage camo jacket and leather belt to the outfit to balance out the new pieces and with quirky flat shoes and matte red lips, it’s done.
