First things first: apologies for the lack of posting last week. I only had one day off last week, which was an I’m-not-removing-myself-from-the-sofa kind of day. I didn’t think any of you would appreciate seeing an outfit post of me in my onesie, bare face and poor attempt at the messy bun, so if anything…you are welcome.
This weekend was spent in Edinburgh for my friend Jens birthday celebrations. It was marvellous fun being involved in all the craziness of the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. We saw a few comedy shows, a magician and a lot of bazaar, don’t-even-ask, activities; but hey, anything goes in the festival!
I got this dress from Topshop the other day and I already know it’s going to be a key staple piece in my wardrobe this autumn. I like how it’s a timeless slip shape so I can dress it up with heels and jewellery for a night out but then also I can as easily wear it with a t-shirt or a polo neck underneath for a casual day look.
This dress did cause a bit of a fluster at one of the comedy gigs we went to during my weekend at the Fringe. The comedian, who, may I just point out was in a just as stripy and just as brightly coloured t-shirt; decided I had stolen someone’s curtains, what a hypocrite. And then continued to call me curtain lady throughout the show, asked me if I liked house music and if I shopped in IKEA – both of which I denied to avoid giving him any more ammo. Needless to say that wasn’t my favourite show of the weekend…
Note to self: could do with investing in an invisibility cloak.
